Task: Using the textbook selection of Brahms’s works and your knowledge of Brahms’s life,
write a three-page paper summarizing Brahms’s life and music. Make sure to discuss why he is
a famous composer and what he has contributed to the world of music. Include his birth/death,
people he has met, works he has written, some mention of his personality, etc.
This is like a summary of all eight lectures. The textbook is there to help you organize your
thoughts and fill in some gaps.
