Math
We covered a lot of material this week. Students learned how to graph and
interpret line plots. In geometry, they learned about line, line segment, ray,
parallel, intersecting, and perpendicular. After studying different kinds of
angles (right, acute, obtuse, and straight), students learned how to classify
triangles by the length of their sides and by the size of their angles. They
can recognize and name different types of quadrilaterals (parallelogram,
rectangle, square, rhombus, trapezoid, and kite) by their attributes. Timed
math tests are taken to climb Math Mountain and to enter Math Club.
AzMERIT Math Assessments will take place on Monday and Tuesday.
