Statistics is a collection of analytical tools that give you the
power to :
 Tame the tsunami of data that we encounter every day.
 Identify patterns in seemingly random occurrences.

 Make decisions under conditions of uncertainty.
Predict the future from the past.
 Draw conclusions about the WHOLE by looking at only a PART.
AP Stats Teaches You How to Drive Data
Instead of Being Driven by It!

Why would you want to take
Multivariable Calculus
(Semester 1)?
1. You love math and MVC is the next
Calculus course after BC Calculus.
2. You want to lighten your
coursework when you are in
freshman year, since you will have
to take MVC over again.
3. You are curious about the
drawings at right and how they
Take AFTER BC Calc
relate to MVC.

LOGIC (SEMESTER 1)



This course is designed primarily for students that
will be handling significant math coursework in
college.
We will cover a selection of basic proof techniques
that will inform our work throughout the semester.
Proof techniques include:

LOGIC (SEMESTER 1)


Our topics will come from a variety of different
fields of abstract mathematics. These topics
should provide you with a solid foundation that you
can apply to many different types of math courses.
Topics may include (but are not limited to):

Why would you want to take
Differential Equations
(Semester 2)?
1. You love math and Differential Equations is
like no other branch of math you have seen
before.
2. You may be taking it in your freshman year,
so you want to be prepared.
3. It fits into your schedule.

LINEAR ALGEBRA (SEMESTER 2)



Linear Algebra is a cornerstone of pure
math, quantum physics, computer science,
and many other math and science
disciplines.
Along with Multivariable Calculus, Linear
Algebra completes the necessary skills and
maturity required for the full breadth of
abstract mathematical topics.
Our goal in this course is to mix theory and
application in order to have both a strong
mathematical foundation and tailor the
course to your collective interests

LINEAR ALGEBRA (SEMESTER 2)


For both this course and the Logic course
that precedes it, you will be expected to be
able to read and dissect sections of a
textbook on your own before you come to
class each day. This is a crucially important
skill that will benefit you greatly in many
college classes.
You will also be required to present one
selected textbook problem per semester to
the class. This will be an important
opportunity for you to practice your formal
math writing skills as well as your ability to
engage in meaningful math discourse.

Quantitative Literacy!
 You NEED Financial Literacy education because:
 According to EmergeingEdTech1, recent high school
graduates have more debt than ever before, have costlier
student loans, are going bankrupt earlier than ever, and
do not start saving for bigger purchases until later in life
 USA Today reports2 students who complete basic
Financial Literacy courses “…are significantly more likely
than their peers who didn't take class to be financially
responsible…” and are “…more averse to debt, more
likely to pay credit card bills on time, and less likely to go
over their credit limit…”
