Abstract:
New changes make SAS/ASSIST
software an even more powerful ad
hoc tool. Two particularly important
tools are the Query Windows and the
Query and Reporting from 082 tool.
The Query Window enables users to
generate SOL queries in a point-andclick environment. The queries can
be generated for SAS data sets or
passed directly to a database for
processing. Queries can be saved,
data can be extracted, or the query
can create a view. This tool is both
easy to use and a powerful means of
data Management.
The Query and Reporting from 082
tool is a men-driven interface that is
specifically made for querying and
reporting on 082 data from the SAS
System. It is designed to make data
access easy by providing extensive
information about 082 data. The
window includes an intelligent Query
Manager, an SOL editor and other
windows to make querying and
reporting easy.
