Eaton 509 West Monroe Street Highland, IL 62249 tel: 618-651-2034 [email protected] Date For Release Contact March 11, 2014 Immediately Margie Doll, (618) 651-2034 Eaton’s New J-Hook Color ID Products Allow for Quick and Easy Content Designation in Data Center and Light Commercial Cable Applications HIGHLAND, Ill. … Power management company Eaton today announced that its B-Line division is helping to simplify the content designation process with the introduction of its new J-Hook Color ID products. Ideal for use in data centers and light-duty commercial cable management applications, these simple solutions are designed to snap onto existing B-Line J-Hook products, allowing installers and inspectors to verify that cables are running in their correct, designated pathways. “Until now, choosing a color-coded solution meant increasing a project’s completion time and total budget,” said Kyle Spencer, product line manager, Eaton’s B-Line division. “By developing a stocked solution that can be easily snapped into place, we’re not just reducing cost, but also eliminating confusion and saving our end users time.” Engineered to securely fit on all J-Hook solutions from Eaton’s B-Line business, Color ID products feature a simple, tool-free installation, snapping over the U-shaped section on either single or tiered J-Hooks. By including a Color ID product on each J-Hook, installers and inspectors can quickly verify that the appropriate type of cable is included in each run. This is especially important in commercial and data center applications, where multiple cable runs are typically installed. J-Hook Color ID products are available in blue, white, red, yellow, orange and gray options. All are manufactured from Underwriters Laboratories (UL) listed material rated for plenum – more – Eaton/Page 2 spaces and are suitable for use in air handling spaces in accordance with Section 300.22 (c) and (d) of the National Electric Code (NEC). They can be used with a range of solutions and are also compatible with tied-hook applications.
