World Investment Report 2010 Launch at the Ifo Institute
The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) will launch its 20th World
Investment Report (WIR) at the Ifo Institute in Munich on Thursday, 22 July 2010, from 11:00 to
12:30 hrs.
The World Investment Report 2010 presents the latest data on foreign direct investment (FDI) around
the world. It also traces global and regional trends in investment and international production by
transnational corporations (TNCs). This year’s World Investment Report puts a special focus on
climate change mitigation and the emerging TNC-Development paradigm. How have FDI flows
reacted? How have national and international policies related to FDI changed? Which of the largest
TNCs are potential winners and losers in the major industrial restructuring introduced by climate
change?
The Statistical Annex provides data on FDI flows and stocks for more than 200 economies, as well as
information on the world’s largest TNCs.
