This is twice as much as the Cumberland Plateau Natural Resources • Half of the state is covered in forest • More than 200 species of trees can be found in TN • Many of the hardwoods are still found in TN (oak, maple, beeches, walnuts, hickories, poplars) • Many common animals include turkey, deer, raccoons, and opossums
