The Pacific Region
in North America
States in the Pacific Region
The states are Hawaii, California,
Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and
Alaska.
The Loggerhead Sea Turtle
Loggerheads are not endangered.
There regular diet is jellyfish, conches, small
fish, seaweed, and Sargassum. Mature
female Loggerhead Sea Turtles will travel
one thousand miles to where they were
hatched to lay there own eggs. Loggerhead
Sea Turtles’ habitat is along the coast. They
love the shallow waters with all their
dietary needs. Loggerheads eat Whelks but
Sharks eat them. The loggerheads have a
very wood like pattern on their shell.
Honolulu Hawaii
Honolulu is the capitol of Hawaii. If I went
there I would go explore the coral reefs. I
would get there by plane. The foods I would
eat there would be exotic cuisines. The
citizens speak both English and Spanish. So to
say hi to them you would say hello or aloha.
Good bye is in English and adios is in Spanish.
The Pacific Ocean
The location of the Pacific Ocean.
The Pacific Ocean is west of the Pacific Region
it’s one of the largest oceans in the world.
With all the exotic species of fish, there are
just too many to count! The seaweed is one
of the main plants that live in the ocean that
gives food to a lot of animals.
Skiing in Oregon
You can go skiing where ever there's snow
and hills. Skiing is a sport done to see the
speed and survival skills of the skier. Skiing
can be a dangerous sport with avalanches.
Skiing is one there're many more tourist
attractions in this region.

Gila Monster
• It comes out the nights or early mornings, on
the humid days it stays in brush, under rocks.
They eat prey, small birds, mammals, eggs,
lizards, frogs, insects, and carrion. The lizard
isn’t mean but it is ready to defend when
provoked. If it is approached it will turn toward
the intruder with it’s mouth opened. The
behaviors of the Gila Monster it hides under
brush, rocks, and it digs hole in the ground and
hides under them. It isn’t mean but it has no
enemies, or defenses.
City
• The location of Houston Texas is the path of
buildings that are big and some are small. You
could get to Houston Texas by airplane, car, or
a train. I could see some of the big buildings, I
could do some new things I never did before.
Tourist Attraction
• The location of the Red Lake Canyon is in the
Canyonlands National Parks, in Utah. The
interesting fact about Red Lake Canyon is the
largest maintained trail in the needles district
of Canyon Land National Parks. The
description is it has long paths, spectacular
scenery it provides the only reasonable access
to Needles district.

Arizona is a very fascinating state. It has 4 states that border it, Nevada, California, New Mexico, and
Colorado. Arizona is the sixth largest state. Its size is 113,909 square miles.
Arizona has 3 regions in the state. In the southern part of the state the region is called Basin and
range region which is full of mountains and large cities.
The Colorado plateau region is Arizona’s biggest region. It takes up half of the state and is very level.
Arizona has many special places. Its most special place is the Grand Canyon. They have many tours
around the Grand Canyon for people to see. They let people ride up and down the mountains.
People visit it from all around the world.

• The twelve states of the North Central Region
are: South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa,
Minnesota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri,
Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and
Illinois.
Animals of North Central Region
The western fence lizard is one of the animals
that live here. They are sometimes called spiny
lizards. From their environment they are
normally tan or gray. They eat insects as in
beetles and caterpillars.
~Locations~
One location is Lake Michigan. It is the third
largest lake in the Great Lakes. Its also has the
sixth freshest water of all lakes.

The Southeast region includes
the states of Alabama, Florida,
Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi,
North Carolina, South Carolina,
Tennessee and Virginia
The Gold Winged Warbler
 The habitat of this animal is in the open woodland
 These animals prey on insects and spiders
Their behavior is foliage gleaner
Male has black throat; black ear patch bordered in white; yellow crown
and wing patch. Females feature a similar coloration pattern, but the black
is replaced with light grey. In both genders, extensive white on tail is
conspicuous from below. Under parts are grayish white, bill is long and
slender.
Prowling mammals and predatory hawks are a danger to the bird.

LYNX
This animal is not
endangered. It’s habitat is a
forest. It’s a carnivore. It’s
aggressive. The lynx is a
top predator. It lives in the
wilderness areas.
