Outline
Last Minutes Status Report
 Computer Network Status in Indonesia
 Aiming to support the Industrial
Development in Indonesia.
 Summary

Last Minutes Status Report
There will be close to 3 x 2Mbps
Internet links from Indonesia in 1996.
 At least 17 Provinces will be linked
through Frame Relay (2Mbps) in 1996
(currently only 4 provinces).
 At least 2 companies will install a new
VSAT backbone for data in early 1996.
 There will be 4-5 major players in
providing the national data backbone.

Stressful Burden for
Networkers





6-8 Seminars / Workshops / Tutorials per
month!
Many request for concultancy work mainly
coming from Private and Government Owned
Industries.
Request for training from many universities.
The last few weeks is VERY HECTIC for most
Indonesian networkers.
Not sure how can we sleep in the next
months.
