To perform a comprehensive diagnostic assessment To formulate a multidisciplinary treatment plan To know the psychotropic medications used for treatment of diverse psychiatric disorders To present patient work-ups to colleagues To increase awareness of the administrative component of practicing in an inpatient setting The student will be expected to function as a “junior resident” with primary responsibility for several inpatients, including conducting a formal psychiatric examination for diagnostic purposes, documentation of same, formulation of a Multi-disciplinary treatment plan and regular supervision by the senior residents and medical director.
