peasant revolts, and invasions
occur.
 The
old dynasty had
lost the Mandate of
Heaven; therefore
rebellion is justified.
 Old dynasty is
overthrown through
rebellion and new
dynasty emerges.
 New
dynasty restores peace and
now claims to have the Mandate of
Heaven.
