Early Life
• He was born in a one room log
cabin on the Sinking Spring
Farm in Harden County,
Kentucky
• Lincolns parental grandfather
namesake had moved his family
to Virginia, where he was
ambushed and killed in Indian
raid in 1786.
Lincoln became president
• Lincoln was the 16th president
and he was republican
• The country split in two parts the
union and the confederate
• The union didn’t want slaves
and the confederate wanted
