In order to make it meaningful, scholars often look at only a piece of history, as if looking through a telescope at a particular set of stars instead of the whole universe. We call this viewing history through a Lens. • Three very useful lenses to help us focus on history are to look at the Political, Economic and Social aspects of history individually. • What do you think would fall into each category?
