Federalists vs. Anti-Federalists
A Supporter’s View

The Argument….
The argument is over ratifying the
constitution and over how much
control the constitution should give to
the Federal Government.
What is Propaganda?
Propaganda: information, ideas, opinions or images, often only
giving one part of an argument, which are broadcast, published or in
some other way spread with the intention of influencing people's
opinions. Cambridge Dictionary
Examples:
Your task…


Break up into groups of two.
Each group will be making a propaganda poster for either the
Federalist or the Anti-Federalists.You will have 20 minutes to
create it.
◦ The posters should include…
The name of the side you are supporting.
A catchy slogan for your side.
Who would be on the groups side (i.e. large land owners)
What the group wanted.
And an illustration.
Remember to be creative, colorful, and Original!!!
All of the information you need can be found in your textbook on
page 271
Your groups have the class period to find and write the information
as well as add some creative flair and illustrations
During the last 10 minutes of class we will present our posters and
take a vote on the most persuasive argument.






