Label
angles
Set the scale
Import sketch

Add linear dimensions
• Select the file menu

to change the
dimension
• Select the
dimension
selector
• Move the
pointer over
the

• Click twice
quickly and
the
properties
box should
appear
• Click in the
length box,
delete the
existing one
and type in
the new one
• Click on o.k.
• Click on the traffic light to update
the design
• Select the
sketch
dimension
tool
• Move the
cursor over
the circle
• When it turns
bright blue
click and hold
the left hand
button
• Drag off to
the side
• Select the
dimension selector
• Pass the pointer
over the dimension,
when it goes bright
blue double click
quickly on it
• The properties box
should appear
• Change the
dimension if needed
and click on o.k.
• Press the traffic
light to update the
design if the
dimension has been
changed.
Add any other important dimensions that
the sketch will allow
• In the file menu
click on new
• Select drawing
• Click on o.k.
Check the format is the
correct size for the drawing

tab
• Check the
scale is correct.
(note if the
model figure is
bigger than the
paper figure
the drawings
will be
reduced, i.e,
half scale)

• Click on add modelling view
• Make sure

workplane
is selected
• Make sure
wheel
support is
highlighted
in blue

o.k
• Make sure the

to the sketch so it
goes bright blue
• Click on it so it
goes red
• Click again and
hold
• Drag the sketch
to the right
• Select the
drawing menu
• Select add
modelling view
• Make sure
from
workplane and
wheel support
are selected
• Click on the
arrow to drop
the workplane
menu
• Select frontal
• Click on o.k.
• Make sure the
sketch
selector is
selected
• Move the
pointer to the
sketch so it
goes bright
blue
• Click on it so
it goes red
• Click again
and hold
• Drag the
sketch to the
bottom of the
page
• Select the
drawing menu
• Select add
modelling view
• Make sure from
workplane and
wheel support
are selected
• Click on the
arrow to drop
the workplane

• Select lateral
• Click on o.k.
• Make sure the sketch
selector is selected
• Move the pointer to
the sketch so it goes
bright blue
• Click on it so it goes
red
• Click again and hold
• Drag the sketch to
the bottom of the

The base sketch
will not show
anything so
we need to
delete it
• Make sure the
sketch selector
is selected
• Move the
pointer to the
sketch so it

• Press delete
• Make sure the
sketch
selector is

pointer over
the sketch
• Click twice
quickly so the
property box
appears
• Tick the scale
box
• Enter 3 as the
zoom factor
• Click on o.k.
Do the same with the other sketch
• Select the
sketch selector
• Select the
frontal view,
move the
pointer over
the sketch until
it goes bright
blue, click
twice quickly
to make it go
red
• Select the
drawing menu
• Click on align
other views
• Select the
dimensions
menu
• Click on import
sketch
dimensions
• Select the
annotations
selector
• Move the
pointer over
the dimension
so it goes
bright blue
• Click so the
dimension
goes red
• Click and
hold, drag the
dimension to
the side
• Select the linear
dimension tool
• Put the pointer
on the edge of
the lateral view
so it goes bright
blue
• Click once so it
goes red
• Put the pointer
on the other edge
so it goes blue
• Click and
hold with the
left hand
button
• Drag the
dimension
off the
drawing and
let go
• Select the
linear
dimension tool
• Put the pointer
on the round
edge of the
frontal view so
it goes bright
blue
• Click once so it
goes red
• Put the pointer
on the top edge
so it goes blue
• Click and
hold with the
left hand
button
• Drag the
dimension off
the drawing
and let go
• Select the
radius tool
• Put the
pointer over
the curve so
it goes bright
blue

hold, drag the
pointer off
the drawing
• Select the angular
dimension tool
• Put the pointer on
the top edge of
the frontal view
so it goes bright
blue
• Click once so it
goes red
• Put the pointer on
the side edge so it
goes blue
• Click and
hold with
the left
hand
button, the
dimension
should
appear
• Drag the
dimension
into
position
and let go
• Select the
annotation
selector
• Put the

centre line

dimension tool
• Move the
pointer to the
centre of one
cirle so it goes
bright blue
and click
• Move the
pointer to the
other centre so
it goes bright
blue
• Click so it
goes red
• Drag the
pointer off the
drawing
• Select the
feature
selector
• Select the
bottom
curve
• Select the
centre line
menu
• Click on
centre
point
• Make sure
the linear
dimension
tool is
selected
• Click on the
centre point
of the top
curve
• Click and
hold on the
centre of the
other circle
• Drag the
dimension
off the
drawing
Add a table
as in the
assembly
section
Save your
drawing
