Q1: Is there an update charge between VisiBroker versions?
• A1: Updating from a prior version to V8.5 is free of charge for a customer under support
(equivalent configuration). Also note that V8.5 is binary compatible with V8.0.
Q2: What is the licensing and pricing model for VisiBroker on virtual machines?
• A2: The current policy is to license per server and price per physical hardware used. This policy is
under review and in the meantime we are working with each customer to define a model that will
work best for them.
Q3: Can I purchase additional licenses for de-supported versions of
VisiBroker?
• A3: Normally, new licenses are not sold for out of support versions. In some cases, it is possible to
renew licenses, or add to an existing license portfolio with special approval.
