The Goals
We have two primary goals with our email
marketing:
1. Get into the inbox
2. Stay welcome in their inbox
Everything we do with our email marketing
should be designed to accomplish these two
goals.
How do we do it?
There are three things that will directly impact
you ability to accomplish these two goals.
• Consent
• Content
• Frequency
Consent
The best way to improve your inbox
placement is to make sure you have
permission to email them.
Avoid emailing:
• Purchased or borrowed lists
• Prospects that did not ask for your
marketing
Content
Nothing will make you more unwelcome to
your prospects than sending them email they
don’t care about.
Make sure you:
•Send what you said you were going to send
•Provide relevant follow up
•Deliver value
Frequency
There is no black and white answer to this
question. There are a number of variables that
affect this question.
• The type of business you operate.
• The lifecycle of your prospects and
customers.
• But mostly, the expectations you set from
the outset.
Let’s jump into the application!
We’ll be looking at:
•The Drag and Drop Email Builder
•Creating templates
•Spam Assassin
•Personalizing your emails with merge fields
