Proper noun: The names of specific people,
places and things (ALWAYS capitalized)

◦ Things: Halloween, Tuesday, Dodgers, Vons,


Common noun: All other nouns that are not




An adjective usually answers one of these
questions:


Examples:

◦ sixteen candles (how many candles?)


Directions: Circle the adjectives and draw an
arrow to the nouns or pronouns they
modify/describe in the following sentences.




Correlative conjunction: conjunctions that
come in pairs
◦ Correlative conjunctions: either…or, not only…but
also, both…and, neither…nor, whether…or
◦ Example: We should go to Knott’s Scary Farm either
tonight or tomorrow night.

