What is "the internet"?

The Internet = a network of computer
networks


technically, it is a bunch of wires, servers,
routers, etc.
"The Web" ≠ "The Internet"

The World Wide Web is just one of many
services that use the internet.

1969 - ARPAnet
1973 - ARPAnet adds 1st international nodes
