TEXAS TECH POLICE DEPARTMENT SUMMARY OF DAILY REPORTS Date: September 23, 2009 TIME UNIT REMARKS SHIFT 1 0841 TT638 Officer Gilster arrested a student for criminal trespass following a report of a male swimming in the Texas Tech Recreation Center Leisure Pool when it was closed. The student refused to leave after staff members requested him to do so. The student was issued a criminal trespass warning for the Rec Center area and was transported to the Lubbock County Jail. See offense report # 091141. The student’s name is Matthew James Fouss. 0958 TT647 Officer Garza investigated the theft of a bicycle that occurred at the bike racks on the north side of Hulen Hall. A secured “Next Power Climber” bicycle was stolen. See offense # 09-1142. 1029 TT665 Officer Pair investigated a theft that occurred at the Agricultural Pavilion. Six metal letters were stolen from the outside wall of the building. See offense report #09-1143. 1246 TT638 Officer Gilster investigated a traffic accident with no injuries in the 900 block of Texas Tech Parkway. See state crash report # 09-1144. 1259 TT674 Officer Snow investigated a theft that occurred on the second floor of the Chemistry Building. A cell phone was stolen from an unsecured laboratory. SHIFT 2 1430 TT676 Officer Burgess investigated burglary of a building, which occurred at the Jones AT&T stadium, west side. Clothing and other items were taken from the Double T Zone. See offense report # 09-1146. Entry written by Sergeant Eade on September 23, 2009 at 2200 hours. SHIFT 3 2324 TT620 Sergeant K. Miller released pending the filing of charges with the Lubbock County District Attorney’s Office two white male students for possession of marihuana following an observed traffic violation in the 1700 block of Flint Avenue. One of the white male students was also issued a Lubbock County citation for possession of drug paraphernalia in which he signed. See offense report # 09-1147.
