How does the NeuroStim System work?
The NSS is a Percutaneously implanted Electro-Auricular Device
(EAD).
•It stimulates the cranial and peripheral nerves which mechanically
enhances an endorphin release.
•The result of that release is natural management of pain.
•This works by sending the endorphins to the receptor sites where
the pain signal is located and reverting the signal from the negative
pain signal to a “positive” one.
•The device neuro modulates which means that it pulses from 1hz to
10hz and back every cycle.
*This is a very brief clinical description and by no means gives all of the necessary clinical
information needed to understand this device.
How does the NeuroStim System work?
•
Impulses sent via the peripheral nerves stimulate the
parasympathetic nerve and decrease the sympathetic
overdrive, this process balances the ANS.
•
Impulses sent to the brain via the cranial nerves produce
endogenous endorphins
•
Causes vasodilation which Increases arterial perfusion and
oxygenation
•
Decreases overall inflammation, eschemia and swelling.
