To identify: • the tools in order to develop co-operation and joint work in the Mechartonics sector; • the Centres of Competence and Services; • areas of expertise in the Institutional cooperation. Friuli Venezia Giulia The Mchatronics is one of the most important sector in the region in terms of: - number of companies - active labour force - value of exports contribution to the regional GDP Metallurgy 67 Companies Manufacture of Metal Products 2297 Companies Manufacture of Machinery and Equipment 668 Companies 10 centres in the Region are setting up the Industrial Park of the Region. The exports of this sector is equal to 38% of the regional GDP. Veneto Region Mechatronics main Clusters: 1. District of Air-conditioning and Industrial Freezing Associated companies Employment Export 116 6.902 > 50% 2. North East Packaging District Associated companies Employment 127 5.487 Export (n.a.) 3. Metadistrict of Mechatronics Bulgarian Economic Forum Mechatronic cluster established in 2006 as a legal non-profit organisation; head office: Sofia, Regional Centre Members are: 14 high-tech production companies, scientific bodies in the instrument-building and Non-government organization Exported market: Europe, United State, Brazil, Taiwan, South Korea, India and Mexico. Cluster development: -Enlargement of the cluster and acceptance new members -Establishing with public bodies -Creating contact with foreign partners Maribor Development Agency - neither official Mechatronics Cluster in area, nor big companies - potential for creation of a regional network is provided: TECES / technology centre, university, SMEs - ADC project activities to be used as prefeasibility activity for creation of a regional network Target Group: SMEs and Institutions both in Prodravje region and In Slovenia Structure of regional partners: MDA, Regional Chamber of commerce and industry and of craft, TECES technology centre, Agency for International marketing and EEN network at national level. Centre for Promotion of Entrepreneurship Piran Cluster potential in the region: no official cluster in the Mechatronics filed, potential for creation of a network, ADC project would be good opportunity Target group to be involved: SMEs and institutions both in the coastal region and Slovenia, animation to be implemented in cooperation within other Slovenian networks Structure of regional partners: • coastal regional development agency • regional chamber of Commerce and industry • local chamber of craft • EEn Koper IPE Prof.Dr.eng. Sorin-Aurel Moraru Electro-Technical Regional Cluster – ETREC, from Brasov Transilvania University Research Departments: High Precision Mechanics and Mechatronics, Process Control Systems, Advanced Electrical Systems Main objective: Development of the complex activities for high performance Mechatronic systems with applications in industry and medicine Specific objective Development of high performance Mechatronics system used in automation and manufacturing; Modelling, designing and testing of the measuring intelligent systems ETREC Availability: exchange of specialists in R&D, experience and best practice in innovation production and services in this sector. IPE Eng. Ioan Plotog Executive Director, UPB-CETTI-ITA, Technological and Business Incubator, Center for Technological Electronics and Interconnection Techniques – University of Bucharest UPB-CETTI-ITA Mission: - Promotion of knowledge transfer, innovations and technologies developed in the university environment towards industry through physical or virtual incubation of SMEs - Analysis of the electronic technology evolution and assumption of the knowledge and technologies from industry in order to develop the technical base as support for increasing the efficiency for activities in university environment. The five best practices have been presented at the first meeting by: - FVG region: Mr. Nicolò Ghandelli from COMET scrl - Veneto regione: Mrs. Roberta D’orazio from the Veneto district of the Industrial refrigeration and Mr. Simone Franzolin from Nord Packaging district from Prodenone - Emilia Romagna Regione: Mr. Davide Bezzecchi from “Club Meccatronica”, and Mr. Umberto Perati from DemoCentre. What is the objective of the second Mechatronics SWG? • To identify the Machatroics sub-sector and specialization that should both be of interest and necessary for the development of your territory • Anything that helps to form the clusters and ways to promote the skills of the clusters • Results of your RWGs with Clusters /SMEs/ Companies/Association that want to participate in PEV.
