• Got some help from Steve in connecting thermal stavelet
to CO2 cooling system.
• Use water to do Pressure test for the whole system in B180
• Todd pointed out a few issue in thermal stavelet.
• Some connector does not support large current.
• PT1000 does not touch the thermal stavelet
• Fixed
Temperature Monitoring
• Suggested by Todd, we are going to put more sensors on
CO2 system and thermal stavelet.
• Two proposals for reading out the temperature sensors:
• Use NTC readout
• Use ELMB
NTC readout
• A small box to read out NTC sensors
• Easy to use
• But only can do monitoring, not possible to do some control.
• Got NTC readout for free from Steve.
ELMB
• ELMB is widely used in ATLAS DCS .
• Not only Monitoring, can also send control signal
• A bit more expensive (about 400 CHF)
• Need to buy a CAN computer interface
• Need a voltage source .
• Need a new computer with PVSS
