Did you find anything wrong on the visual inspection? No! Is it an electrical system? Yes! No! Yes, Repair as needed. Is it a Hydraulic system? Check fluid levels. Mechanical system? Check linkage & operation. Is it a Electronic system, or Diagnostic code? Check fusses & connectors. Check inputs & outputs. No, use a wiring diagram for further troubleshooting. Check fusses, connectors, & bulbs replace as needed. Did this repair the problem? Yes, congratulations! The next slide is an example of one type of diagnostic flow chart for a blower motor problem Similar charts are used for Brakes, Steering, Suspension, Heating & Air Conditioning, Electrical diagnosis, etc. #4 low blower only PERFORM FUNCTIONAL TEST SET AT HIGH IGNITION ON Measure programmer voltage from pins T (circuit 976) to N (circuit 155) with connector in place Less than 1 volt Measure programmer voltage from pins R (circuit 972) to N (circuit 155) with connector in place Greater than 1 volt Replace power module Less than 1 volt Greater than 1 volt Check circuit 972 for short to ground Replace programmer Replace control head
