SWEN R2 User’s Manual INDEX • Introduction • Clock set • Configuration • Calibration • Component • Scanner operation • Charging • Attentions • Power on/off • Specifications & Features • Warming up • Icons on the upper screen • Buzzer on/off • Lamp on/off • Setup of LCD bright <2> Overview Without the necessity of bottle opening or content sampling, the SWEN R2 just scans PET bottles and easily identifies the contents inside them. Our detector employs a microwave using GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) to identify contents, which prevents users from being exposed to X-rays or other radiations and chemical substances to be carefully used. This detector employs microwave to penetrate most objects; thus even a very small quantity of flammable substance can be detected. Its superior CPU with the high speed performs the fast scanning within just one second. Such simple operation of the SWEN R2 does not require additional personnel, thus labor costs could be kept at a minimum. <3> Configuration [1] SWEN R2 Scanner [2] Case <4> [3] Belt [4] Adapter [4] Key ring Components DETECTING BUTTON <5> Charging [*] The icon of charging appears when the charging adapter is connected and the message that it started charging appears and then disappears. <6> Power on/off 1. The operation is initialized once power is on. 2. Success of system initialization 3. Failure of system initialization. In this case, re-trial of poweron or calibration is required. Inflammables Put the subject like the image and press the sensor in the red circle. <15> Scanner operation 1. The subject should be placed on the center of the sensor. 2. The proper amount of liquid is needed. 3. The subject cannot be scanned through being placed on floor (desk, or glass etc.). Liquid amount <16> Attentions • This scanner is specified for DC9V. • The unintended disassembly is not allowed. • The unreasonable uses such as watering or forceful pressing can cause damages on the scanner. • During the processes of Initialization and Calibration, there should be no subject affecting the sensor. • In case of defecting the result of the sensor due to peripheral environment, the calibration or power-on should be conducted again. • The conductive currents, glass or metal materials which are around the sensor can cause malfunctioning of the scanner. • The user should be careful against the high voltage inside the scanner. • Once the message of Low Battery appears, the battery should be charged promptly. Despite such usage, the continuous usage of the battery can be one factor of reduction in battery life. <17> Specifications & Features <18> Type Principle of Detection Detection Method Microwave Output SWEN-R2 Type Substance identification by microwave Evaluation of the property of substance Less than 5mw (Detection within 5~8cm) Detection Interval Real time - within one seconds Result Notification Displayed on LCD panel and a buzzer goes off Main Processor S3C840FX Detection Process Automatic identification when placed on the surface of a subject Power Source 7.4V 2400mA Li-ion battery Power Consumption Operating Mode : Less then 500mA , Sleep mode : Less then 25mA Battery charge time 8 hours Adapter 9V 1000mA Operational Condition -10~40℃, 95%RH Size and Weight The main unit W66×D400×H33mm / Weight : 540g Thank you <19>
