GA0 PHASE REVERSING SSR
• I/O modules are application specific solid
state relays designed to meet the
computerized demands of the industrial
control market.
AC inputs to logic ( yellow case )
DC inputs to logic ( white case )
DC logic to AC ( black case )
DC logic to DC ( red case )
PB-8 WITH STANDARD .6” I/O
• Input modules perform a reverse relay
function by converting either an AC or DC
voltage to a DC logic level signal. By
returning a signal to the microprocessor or
controller, it knows an action has occurred in
the field. Field devices would be limit
switches, thermostats, pressure transducers,
etc.
• Output modules are similar in function to standard
AC and DC solid state relays. Most versions can
handle between 3 and 5 amps.
• While driven from low level logic signals, output
modules are designed to control power to loads
such as motors, heaters and valves and usually
include circuitry for noise rejection and transient
voltage suppression.

Package style
Logic Voltage
Thermal ( ambient temperature )
Load voltage
Load current
• AC modules cannot be tested by placing an ohm meter
across the output and energizing the input
• AC modules should not be wired in parallel with mechanical
switches unless appropriate transient protection is utilized
on the modules output
• DC inductive loads should be diode suppressed
• DC I/O modules should be placed as close as possible to
inductive loads to prevent ringing
• Transient protection is helpful and advisable in any
application with inductive loads
• M or SM modules will fit .6” mounting
boards
• .6” will not fit M or SM mounting boards
• M or SM will not interchange on respective
boards
• SM I/Os have a retaining pin, M modules do
not
• Regulated input voltage on all output modules
– Single version for 5, 15, and 24 volt inputs
• Regulated supply voltage on all input modules
– Single version for 5, 15, and 24 volt outputs
