In Germany there are 14 National Parks.
The Bavarian Forest National Park is in the southeast of Germany.

What makes the Bavarian forest so
special?
In the Bavarian Forest many animals and plants
are legally protected.
Many rare species have been re-established in
the Bavarian Forest, e.g. the lynx, which
became extinct in 1970, has been re-introduced
to the park.
