SIGNALS AND ENERGY DATA
Signals and Energy Data | multimess D9-PQ Power Quality Network Analyzer Class A
The novel multimess D9-PQ power quality analyzer and
fault recorder for low and medium voltage networks
is the main component of a system that can handle
all measuring tasks in electrical networks . The multimess D9-PQ can be used as a power quality interface
in accordance withnetwork quality standards as well as
measuring device for all physically defined measured
values in alternating current networks.

Application of the multimess D9-PQ
The novel multimess D9-PQ power
quality analyzer and fault recorder for
low and medium voltage networks
is the main component of a system
that can handle all measuring tasks in
electrical networks .
multimess D9-PQ also features a highspeed fault recorder with a recording
rate of 40.96kHz/10.24kHz and a
10ms RMS recorder. Thus, it allows
for a detailed assessment of network
interferences.
The multimess D9-PQ can be used
as a power quality interface with
network quality standard as well as
measuring device for all physically defined measured values in alternating
current networks.
Apart from standard evaluations, the
The unit is especially suitable for monitoring, recording and evaluating reference qualities or quality agreements
between the energy supplier and the
customer and make them available for
evaluation and storage.
The standard distinguishes two
measuring device classes:
c lass A measuring devices are
mostly used for contract-relevant
measurements in customer-supplier relationships.
c lass S measuring devices can
be used to determine statistic
quality values.
4
Advanced voltage quality measuring
devices work in accordance with the
IEC 61000-4-30 (2008) standard. This
standard defines the measuring methods to provide users with a good basis
for comparison.
Devices from different manufacturers
that comply with this standard have
to deliver identical measuring results.
The multimess D9-PQ fulfills the requirements
laid down in IEC 61000-4-30 (2008)
for class A measuring devices to 100%.

Compensation
Network analysis
Reactive power compensation and improvement of the network
quality are essential aspects of KBR Power Quality. KBR develops
and produces the components for the compensation systems in its
own production facilities. Our Power Quality team offers network
analyses, on-site troubleshooting and passive as well as active
power filters in order to improve grid quality.
The voltage quality is steadily decreasing. This is due to the
widespread use of power electronics that create harmonics which
influence the supply network.
To be able to record and evaluate these disturbances, KBR offers
the high-quality network analyzer multilog .
