The role, in this capacity, is to educate and provide quality healthcare services to our homecare and institutional clients. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Evaluates clients needs by conducting tests, interpreting test results and determining respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians Conducts appointments and set-up of equipment for sleep diagnostic testing Assists with sales of CPAP devices & supplies for walk-in clients; assists with maintenance of CPAP inventory/trial equipment for the branch Assists clients in accomplishing their treatment plan by administering respiratory therapy treatments, evaluating effects of respiratory therapy treatment plan and recommending adjustments and modifications if required Identifies any discrepancies with respiratory therapy/treatment and brings them to the attention of the physician Communicates the current list of respiratory therapy medications to the appropriate caregivers Maintains quality service by following company standards, policies and procedures and documenting customer complaints around quality of non-conforming products Records client care services by charting in client records, and making reports to physicians Contributes to the growth of VitalAire by liaising with medical professionals and providing demonstrations of products/services to prospective clients Maintains professional and technical knowledge by participating in professional societies and assisting in peer development through training programs Seeks to continuously improve the operation of the branch by evaluating processes and workflow, and participating in other quality improvement activities Facilitates payment by preparation of funding documents, and maintaining knowledge of funding systems SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Graduation from an accredited institution of Respiratory Therapy or Nursing and licensed to practice with the provincial governing body 1 - 2 years of experience as an RRT or Nurse (RN or LPN) Possesses a valid driver’s license and clean criminal background check Excellent computer literacy with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail Effective communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to influence Demonstrates effective time-management skills and able to quickly make decisions in order to solve problems as required Ability to work independently without direct supervision and as part of a team Passion for patient care within your community and a willingness to work on-call when required We participate in equal opportunity employment.
