Reconstruction Reading Guide
Use this reading guide to help you understand important readings about the Reconstruction. You will be using your
analyzing (examining in detail), evaluating (determining significance), & summarizing (using your own words to restate
the main ideas) skills. Follow the steps below for each reading:
Step 0: Be ready to try your 100% best. This is the only way you can help yourself individually or in discussions.
Step 1: Pre-read. Look at all bold/underlined words, quotes, pictures, captions, maps, graphs, & inserts.
Step 2: Complete the reading. (1st reading=learning)
