Born 1969, Marco Cravero begins to study guitar at the age of eight. During the adolescence, inspired by
listening and studying the most influential rock-blues guitar players of the seventies such as J.Hendrix,
R.Blackmore, J. Page and Eric Clapton (to name just a few), he joins different rock bands in Liguria (Italy)
and performs for the first time in live gigs. Around 1990 he decides to make music as his living becoming a
professional musician; he moves to Milan for a couple of years (1991/93) where he continues studying with
the guitar player Luciano Zadro and performing in clubs all around Italy and Switzerland with professional
cover bands. During the following years he faces several experiences as session guitar player accompaining
in tour artists such as Ivana Spagna, Giorgio Faletti and Maurizio Vandelli and collaborating in several studio
sessions with well known producers such as Emanuele Ruffinengo (Chick Corea O.Vanoni, Pooh,
G.Lavezzi). In 1996 he begins to collaborate with Francesco De Gregori with whom he performs in two long
tours: “Prendere e Lasciare” and “La Valigia dell’Attore”and records the double live cd “La Valigia dell’Attore”
with 3 unpublished studio tracks among the live ones included. In December 1997 he plays with Lucio Dalla
during the Rai channel tv show “La Notte Degli Angeli”. Collaborates with Lilli Greco, renowned roman music
producer (P.Conte, F.DeGregori, P.Pravo, Avion Travel). He performs with artists like Vittorio De Scalzi (New
Trolls), Marcello Murru, Vera Takes The Cake, a band from Austin, Texas (european tour 2001) and with a
number of rock, pop, funk and blues line-ups. In the meanwhile he spends some time by composing
instrumental tunes, which included among a few used as soudtracks and jingles for different tv networks (Rai
Sat, Salute & Benessere Channel, etc.), and composing/arranging singer-composer’s music. He currently
teaches at Scuola Musicale Conte and Alessio Menconi Guitar Institute (AMG), (Genoa-Italy)
