Marcello Caminha was born Bage, RS, BRASIL.
He became his career of Music on Nativity Festivals in October 1985.
In 1993 began working in recording studios. Was beginning a career as a producer,
an activity practise nowadays, with more than 50 titles produced.
In 1996 he graduated in veterinary medicine from the URCAMP in Bage. However,
his musical activity not allowed him to split the time with another function, just
musical activity.
In 1997 he recorded his first solo album, “Road of the dream” (Estrada do Sonho),
released on the Usadiscos. And six more caming later.
In 2001 he won first Prize “Açorianos”, musician regional category. this was
repeated in 2007, and two other indications in the same category in 2006 and
2008.
Also in 2001 made the first trip to Europe, playing in London with Luiz Carlos
Borges. Then he returned in 2005 to Germany with Renato Borghetti .In 2007
played in Portugal with the Christmas Show Gaucho, that is the creator and also
musical director.
In 2006 showed in “ Circular Brasil” Project , instrumental native music, playing
in Curitiba, Recife, Salvador, Belo Horizonte, Vitória and Porto Alegre.
He played in 2007 at the National Festival of Doma y Folklore in Jesus Maria,
Argentina alongside César Oliveira e Rogério Melo. Marcello plays with them since
2003.
In 2008 released the cd copyright Influence, he won the “Açorianos” Music Awards:
best composer, best instrumentalist and best graphic design.
In 2009 he released an anthology Successes of gold (sucessos de ouro), he won the
prize Teixeirinha as graphic design and also the award for best arranger of 2009 .
In 2010 he’s producing the videoaula Guitar Gaucho (violão gaucho), DVD about
Gauchos rhythms played on the guitar.
