James Colgain, OD Dr. Colgain is a native of Bethesda, Md., and a 1983 graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry. He is the Clinical Director for Whitten Laser Eye in Washington, DC. He continues to serve as a Lt. Col. with an Air National Guard F-16 Squadron. After leaving active duty, Dr. Colgain pioneered Kaiser Permanente’s Mid Atlantic Region’s Eye Care Services. Dr. Colgain is adjunct faculty for four Colleges of optometry and has instructed over 50 medical and optometric interns and created a family practice optometric residency, in conjunction with the SUNY College of optometry. Sanjay Kedhar, MD Leo Semes, OD, FAAO Dr. Kedhar is a Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute, The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He specializes in the medical and surgical management of patients with uveitis and other autoimmune and infectious eye diseases. He performs cataract and pharmacological implant surgeries in these patients and also participates in numerous research projects on the outcomes of these disease treatments. He is also an expert in cornea, external diseases, and laser refractive surgery. Dr. Kedhar received his medical degree from New York Medical College. He completed his Leo P. Semes, OD, is an Associate Professor of Optometry and the Director of Continuing Education at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. He earned his doctor of optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) and completed his residency at The Eye Institute of PCO. Dr. Semes is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, as well as an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Southern Council of Optometrists. He is a founding member of the Optometric Glaucoma Society and a founding fellow of the Optometric Retina Society.
