ABSTRACT
The ear is the sense of hearing, the ear is used to hearing the sound around us so that we can
know or identify what is happening around us without looking at yourself. Therefore, the ear is
one of the most important sense for humans, often experiencing ear disorder or infection by
bacteria that is needed was an expert or an expert in ear disease. Because of this it takes an ear
disease diagnosis expert system is designed to determine the type of ear disease diagnosis based
on the results that have been done to the patient. In determining the type of ear disease using
Bayesian Network that is by calculating the probability values of all the diseases while the KNearest Neighbor method determines the type of ear disease experienced by comparing the value
of the proximity of the new case to the case of a long or sample data. This program diagnose ear
disease of the symptoms experienced by comparing the two methods. Based on testing of ear
disease diagnosis expert system using the comparison method can be said to produce the same
output as of 30 test data obtained only 3 different decisions. The accuracy in determining the
decision to Bayesian Network reaches 97%, while the K-Nearest Neighbor only reached 93%. It
can be concluded that a better method of Bayesian Network in the decision making based on
symptoms experienced disease that caused.
