Kenny Kakaty came to SCT in 2010 when he was just seven
years old playing a cowboy in the Summer production of
Oklahoma. Since that time, he has been a part of four other
productions with the Theatre, including the role of Mowgli in
the Jungle Book..
A soon-to-be fourth grader at St. Clement’’s Regional Catholic
School, Kenny brings with him a wide range of musical
interests...piano, guitar, drums and of course singing in SCT
productions to name just a few. Outside of SCT and his many musical accomplishments, Kenny is an active 9 year old that enjoys a wide range of hobbies and
activities. He is in the Tae Kwon Do Black Belt Club, loves reading, swimming, skiing
and baseball. He can speak Italian and Spanish and is already an avid world
traveler. Kenny loves the time he spends with SCT and is looking forward to his next
production. When asked about SCT, Kenny says ““no matter what part you play, SCT
makes you realize each role is equally important””.
STAFF SPOTLIGHT
Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Rosie
Spring has been living and working in
Saratoga Springs since 2007. With a
strong background in musical theater,
Rosie has been seen across the
country on national tours of 42nd
St and A Christmas Carol. Regional
credits include George M! at
Goodspeed Opera House in
Connecticut and Gypsy (Louise,)
The Sound of Music (Liesl,) and
Footloose at Stages St. Louis.
Locally, she has played the title
role in the New York State Theatre
Institute production of Sleeping Beauty,
danced with Tango Fusion at The Wood, and
performed several cabaret acts at The Fort
Salem Theater with her husband, Rob.
A graduate of New York University, Rosie
choreographs and teaches theater and dance
classes all over the Capitol Region. The past
two winters, she has enjoyed
choreographing the musicals at
Queensbury High School. A voice
major in college, she also offers
private voice lessons in both
Saratoga and Queensbury.
Rosie can be seen on stage again
next month at The Fort Salem
Theater in Significant Others, a
brand new musical by Jay Kerr
and Al Budde. And she can't
wait to see all the SCT kids
again in September at auditions
for The Little Mermaid!
Rob and Rosie have a 2 year-old named
Dorothy who can't wait for her
first chance to sing on an SCT stage.
Look out for her in 2015!
