As a Castle High School graduate of the class of 1993, Eric has been honored to be able to come back “home” to teach theater for the last several years and to share his passion for theater with so many students in his classes and in the shows presented during the school year and the summer. During Eric’s time as director at Castle, Thespian Troupe #2712 has won the two Regional Theatre Competitions they have competed in the past two years and last year their production of The Addams Family was recognized as the “All-State Conference Production” at State Conference in Indianapolis. Eric is a graduate of the University of Evansville with a Master’s in Education Administration from the University of Southern Indiana. Eric is fond of telling the students involved in these productions that being in a show is like being in a family and he is proud to call all of these students and staff members that he has worked with over the years a part of his family. He and his wife Amanda are blessed to share their love of theater together during these shows and to raise their children (Maggie, Stella, and Parker) in the theater world. Eric would like to thank everyone who has contributed to helping him be able to do what he loves each day when he goes to work, especially to his wife and his parents for all they sacrifice to allow this to happen show after show ALAN JOBE (Costumer) Alan will be costuming his 20th Warrick County Summer Musical. He has been costuming for Castle High School for 40 years and for Harrison High School for over 20 years. Alan claims himself to have come with the Castle building as he attended school there the year it opened. Alan is currently the Executive Director of the CPPC-Claims Prevention and Procedure Council, Inc.- a position he has held for the last 9 years. Alan left Atlas Van Lines after 28 years to take his new position. Alan is the incoming president of the Warrick Public Education Foundation. JEFF THORNTON (Vocal Music Director) Jeff is excited to join the staff of the Warrick County Summer Musical in a new capacity this year as vocal music director. For the last 8 shows, he has worked with the summer musical program as rehearsal accompanist and keyboard player for the shows. Jeff has taught high school vocal music and accompanies shows throughout the area. Currently he works with the EVSC as an Innovation, Curriculum and Technology Specialist. He studied undergraduate and graduate music at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. BEN OAKES (Orchestra Director) Benjamin Oakes is returning for his 17th year as the Orchestra Director for the Warrick County Summer musical. Benjamin started with the show when Ben Boyer asked him to conduct back in 2000. He has been fortunate enough to work with many wonderful directors, set builders, painters, and students throughout the years. Benjamin is currently an Orchestra Director for the EVSC and has been housed at Plaza Park IPA for 18 years teaching strings. It’s a wonderful experience working with high school students during the summer, and he can’t picture himself being anywhere else. STEPHEN DEVILLEZ (Technical Director) This summer marks Steve’s 5th WCSC Summer Musical, but he has been involved in the theater tech almost continuously since his sophomore year in high school. Steve graduated from U.E. with a B.A. in Secondary Education and from I.S.U. with an M.S. in Educational Media. When he is not working on a theater production Steve enjoys spending time with his family (including 2 granddaughters), reading, and playing volleyball. ADAM WADSWORTH (Assistant Director) Adam has been a member of the Warrick County Summer Musical staff for 3 years working on the shows Shrek, Children of Eden, and now Miss Saigon. He taught 3 years of Theatre Arts at Boonville High School and directed six productions during his tenure as drama director. Adam is a graduate of USI, with a B.A. in English Education. AMANDA ANTEY (Choreographer) Graduated from Reitz High School (2001), Indiana University - B.S. Secondary Education (2005) and American College of Education - Masters Degree, Educational Leadership (2013). Alumnae of Kappa Delta Sorority. After 11 wonderful years of teaching in the EVSC, Amanda is excited for a new career path as she will be joining Castle High School’s Social Studies Department in August teaching US History and Government. Past ummer Musicals: (8) Shrek, Children of Eden, Parade, Hairspray, Wizard of Oz, Oklahoma, Joseph, Copacabana. Choreographed for local theatres, middle and high schools, children’s choirs, show choirs, professional theatres, and the University of Southern Indiana’s Theatre Department. Lover of all things summer: sunshine, swimming, the outdoors, Holiday World, and Warrick Summer Musical! Married to Eric, with three children: Maggie (6), Stella (4), and Parker (2) DOUG BLEMKER (Business Manager) Returning to the Warrick County Summer Musical after several years, Doug lives in Orlando and works full time teaching public relations and advertising at the University of Central Florida as well as managing creative assets for Allied Live, a theatrical touring marketing agency. Doug has served as Associate Company Manager for The Phantom of the Opera, as Guest Relations Manager for Disney’s The Lion King and in multiple positions at the Walt Disney World Resort. He is also a freelance puppet builder, photographer and designer. Visit distinctlydoug.com. BROOKE WADSWORTH (Business Manager) Brooke is excited to be returning to the WCSC Summer Musical for her 2nd show. Last year, Brooke was in charge of props for Shrek and had a wonderful time. Brooke was in several plays and musicals during her schooling at Boonville High School. She has a B.S. in Elementary Education from USI and currently teaches 2nd grade at Sharon Elementary School in Newburgh. TARA SORG (Production Assistant / Props/ Makeup) This is Tara’s second summer with the WCSC Musical! Tara began her work with the program as Mr. Antey’s teaching intern during the run of the The Addam’s Family, and has now graduated from the University of Evansville with a B.S. in Theatre Education. TREVA PRUDEN (Accompanist) Treva has a Bachelor’s in Music Education from UE, and a Master’s in Secondary Education from USI. She is the Choir Director at Castle South Middle School, where she also teaches General Music and Piano class, and directs the school musicals. She considers herself greatly blessed with a wonderful, supportive family - especially her husband Randy. Treva is excited to be a part of the Warrick County Summer musical for the first time! SARAH DORY (Scenic Designer) Sarah is enthusiastic to return to the WCSC Summer Musical as the scenic designer. She was the scenic artist for Shrek last year. She is a recent graduate of the University of Evansville with a B.S. in Scenic Design and Technology and B.S. in Electrical Engineering. She is currently an electrical engineer for Ciholas, Inc in Newburgh. NATE POELLOT (Lighting Designer) Nate is very excited to be returning for his 5th WCSC Summer Musical. He began his senior year of high school with Grease, and has been a staff member since then. Nate is also a staff member for Castle High School Theatre Troup #2712 during the school year. KURT BEHME (Production Assistant) Kurt is coming back this year for his second show after helping build sets, as a parent volunteer, for Shrek. Kurt has experience as a carpenter and has worked as a stagehand and rigger at the Ford Center. He grew up in a small town having been involved in local civic theatre as both a performer and musician. He says being involved with the Warrick Co. Summer Musical lets him experience his love of music and theatre again. Kurt is a firefighter and EMT for the City of Evansville. ###
