Who’s Who in Always... Patsy Cline
CAST
MARY ELLEN CERRONI (Louis Seger) is from Endicott, NY, but currently
resides in Farmington, NM. Mary Ellen is an accomplished flute player and
has been a dental assistant on an infantry post while in the army; a dental
hygienist while living in Dallas, TX; a physician’s assistant while living in
Alamogordo, NM; and a music teacher for an elementary school while
living in Farmington, NM. Favorite roles include Louisa in The Fantasticks,
Josephine in HMS Pinafore, Aice in You Can’t Take It With You, and Rosie
in Bye Bye Birdie. She lives with her husband Armando, the love of her life,
and her mom. She misses her dad, sister, and mother- in-law who are all
watching the show from heaven with Patsy. TRACI LYN THOMAS (Patsy Cline) graduated from Carnegie Mellon
University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theatre and has spent
the last 28 years as a professional musical theatre actress (Actors’ Equity
Association), teacher, director and producer. She has performed in Mamma
Mia (Las Vegas Company), Les Miserables (National tour) and Civil War
(National tour). As a director Traci Lyn has directed over a dozen children
and college productions here in the Four Corners area and Idaho. In
Durango she is a summer teacher for DAC Applause! and is a founding
member of Imaginary Friends productions. Traci Lyn lives in Texas with her
husband, children and dogs.

BAND
RICHARD CERRONI (Bass) is from Endicott, NY but currently lives in
Texas. Richard was taught to play bass from his father, who was a musician.
Richard sings and is the sound technician for a local Dallas rock band called
Rogue Radio. They perform regularly at Six Flags and in local bars and
restaurants in the Dallas area. He has performed in his children’s school
and church productions. Richard has served in the Navy as an aviation
electronics technician and currently works as a field service representative
for Omnicell. He loves to build and restore cars. Richard has two children,
Mitch and Grace, and lives with his love, “My Sharona”. C. SCOTT HAGLER (Music Director, Piano) is executive director of
3rd Ave. Arts, a non-profit organization that hosts music, art and multidisciplinary events including the Durango Bach Festival, Durango Chamber
Music Festival, Sacred Arts Festival, the St. Mark’s Recital Series as well as
provides arts education opportunities for all ages. Scott is moving to Santa
Fe this summer, where he will focus on expanding 3rd Ave. Arts’ reach in the
Southwest and offer arts marketing services. He has served on DAC’s board
of directors. He maintains a freelance graphic design business with clients
across the country, and is active as an artist and composer.
TRINA MARTIN (Drums) would like to thank Theresa A. Carson and
Scott Hagler for giving her a great excuse to come back to Durango for
an extended summer visit! Favorite musicals at the DAC for which she
played drums include Happy Days, Seussical the Musical, Beehive, the
60s musical, and Cabaret. A highlight for Trina during her eight years living
in Durango was playing for the 2010 production of Always...Patsy Cline.
Trina currently resides in Round Rock, TX with her loving husband and two
amazingly talented daughters. When she’s not cheering and chauffeuring
their dance teams, she is the director of education for Rhythm Band
Instruments, promoting music education across the country.
EVAN SUITER (Bass) was born and raised in Colorado and began his
professional career at age thirteen. Evan studied music at Fort Lewis
College and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in music education in
2008. Since then, Evan has continued his musical exploration by attending
and working on staff at Victor Wooten’s Center for Music and Nature near
Nashville. Evan currently lives in Durango and keeps a busy performance
schedule with both large and small groups. He is an active educator and
has taught privately as well as held faculty positions at Fort Lewis College
and the Stillwater Foundation music program.
JEROEN VAN TYN (Fiddle) has a musical career that spans performances
with jazz musicians Dave Holland, Gary Peacock, Boulder Philharmonic
Orchestra, Colorado Ballet, Seattle Repertory Theatre, ACT – A
Contemporary Theatre, the American Contemporary Dance Company and

poet Allen Ginsberg. He has played with numerous jazz, Latin jazz, traditional
Afro-Cuban, Balkan and contemporary folk bands. Jeroen performs
professionally in the Durango area and is executive director of the Stillwater
Foundation, a nonprofit organization providing music classes and lessons
to youth and adults. He is also music director and principal composer for 20
Moons, a Durango-based contemporary dance theatre company.
PRODUCTION TEAM
ELISABETH A. BALLSTADT (Stage Manager) moved to Durango from the
Midwest after some time on the East Coast less than two years ago. Eli
has worked backstage and onstage for over 30 years. Some of her favorite
roles include June Carter Cash in Ring of Fire, Beth in the Beebo Brinker
Chronicles, Izzy in Rabbit Hole, Sabina in The Skin of Our Teeth, and The
Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz. Her work in television and
film can be seen in theaters and on HGTV, DIY Network, Food Network,
FOX, and Discovery.
ERIC BULRICE (Set, Light, and Projection Design) is the technical
director and facilities manager at the Durango Arts Center. Eric studied
theatrical design and production management at Idyllwild Arts Academy and
Carnegie Mellon University. Eric worked in commercial scene shops and as
a stagehand for several productions throughout Southern California. From
2010-2014 Eric founded and operated Create IF Designs and Solutions, a
small content branding firm that he sold in November 2014. Eric is looking
forward to working on DAC productions in the coming years, and is honored
to be part of such a dedicated, and talented team.
THERESA A. CARSON (Director) is currently the artistic director and
theatre manager of the Durango Arts Center, an adjunct faculty member
for the Fort Lewis College Theatre Department, and has served as the
artistic director of Sandstone Productions for six years for the City of
Farmington. Favorite directing credits include Cabaret, Footloose, Beehive,
the 60s musical, Glengarry Glen Ross, and W;t. Recent acting credits
include Brooke in Other Desert Cities and Kess in Independence, both
collaborations between DAC Theatre and Merely Players of Durango, CO.
DIANE WELLE (Costume Designer) currently resides in Durango. You may
have seen her costume designs here at DAC in the original production of
Always....Patsy Cline, Beehive, the 60s musical, and Cabaret. Other favorite
credits include Guys and Dolls, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, West Side
Story, Last of the Red Hot Lovers, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Amahl and the
Night Visitors, Romantic Comedy, and Into The Woods.

TED SWINDLEY (Author and Original Director) has directed and/ or
produced over 200 plays for over 20 years. Some of his outstanding
directorial credits include world premieres, classics and musicals including,
CARNAL KNOWLEDGE, PACIFIC OVERTURES, FOLLIES and CAT ON
A HOT TIN ROOF, along with rotating repertory projects such as Havel’s
THE MEMORANDUM with Giradoux’ s THE MADWOMAN OF CHAILLOT,
Thornton Wilder’s OUR TOWN and LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES WITH
THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST. Ted was named to Esquire
magazine’s register of Americans for Outstanding Achievement in Arts
and Letters, and was featured in Southern Living Magazine. In 2007 he
was a keynote speaker at the Southwestern Theatre Conference. He was
also the recipient of the Los Angeles Dramalogue Award for outstanding
direction and nominated for the Los Angeles Critics Award for his work at
the Pasadena Playhouse. He is the Founding Artistic Director of Stages
Repertory Theatre, the second largest theatre in Houston, Texas. There
he implemented such diverse programming as the Texas Playwrights
Festival, for which he won national recognition in 1986 from the Wall Street
Journal and Backstage Magazine. Best known for creating the hit musical,
ALWAYS ... PATSY ·CLINE, which was one of the top ten shows produced
across the country in 1998, he has also directed in over 60 theatres.
THE HONKY TONK ANGELS is his latest hit, and he has completed the
trilogy with THE HONKY TONK ANGELS HOLIDAY SPECTACULAR,
and BUBBA’S REVENGE, (which all can be done independently of
each other). He has just recently premiered his latest work, BACHELOR
PAD in New York City, and completed a Southern adaptation of THE
IMPORTANT OF BEING EARNEST, entitled THE IMPORTANCE OF
BEIN’ EARNEST, and a play, STORIES MY GRANDMOTHER TOLD
ME, which had its premiere in Kansas City, MO, January 2008. He is
an active member of the Dramatists Guild and The Society of Stage
Directors and Choreographers, and is a member of the Playwrights/
Directors Workshop at the famed Actors Studio in New York City.

The culminating event in DAC’s 10-Minute Play Celebration, this festival
has become one of Durango’s favorite theatre events. Featuring winners
and finalists of the DAC 10-minute Play Contest, this fast-paced theatre
