Theatre 68
Is it dark in here, or is it me?
Once upon a time before the days of endless
channels and TIVO, families gathered around their
radios to listen to the latest suspense plays. Each
night they were thrilled and chilled as the events
unfolded right in their living room. Now the 68
Cent Crew Theatre Company proudly presents a
creepy crawly look inside the making of an actual
1950’s radio serial told through the eyes of a teenage listener. In the spirit of Halloween, we invite
you to join us for “Night Stories.”
Welcome
With only 68 cents in my bank account, I was still convinced
that you can make a living doing what you love. It was with
this total in my checkbook that I landed my first major acting
role. “68 Cents” is what I was willing to have in order to
realize my dream. Acting is a passion, an art, and a need that
fills my gut.
It is this passion that motivated me to pull together a group
of the most talented friends I have and create a Company.
A Company I lovingly named the 68 Cent Crew. Over the
past four years, the 68 Cent Crew Theatre Company has
grown into a family of loving, supportive and extraordinarily
gifted actors. Now in our 5th year, we are fortunate to have
come so far in such a short time, but it could not have come
without hard work, commitment and a fervent love of what
we do.
I have always been fascinated with the 1950’s and the old
radio programs. So when Ryan and I got together to write
this I was completely inspired. Our goal is to make this show
a weekly late night serial. After our Haunted House in October (see page 5), we will change the stories monthly,
so there will always be something new for you to enjoy. We
hope you enjoy our first episodes and will let us entertain
you again soon.

The
Announcer
Bruce Barker — Bruce entered the entertainment world
Deuces Wild, Crocodile Dundee in LA, Pop Kowboy, Irish
Eyes, Volare and Fish Without a Bicycle, which he also co
produced. He has a starring role in the film, Limbo Lounge,
which just finished filming. He has guest starred in the hit
CBS series JAG and Young And The Restless. Ronnie wrote
and starred in the critically acclaimed stage play West of
Brooklyn, and he is proud to announce the film version is
currently in post-production. He enjoyed a successful fivemonth run in which he played Lenny Bruce in Lenny’s Back
(and boy is he pissed). Ronnie would like to thank his daughter, Brittany, and his wife, Wendy, for their love and support.
He would also like to dedicate this show to the memory of
his mother, Rosalie, who continues to give strength, pull his
strings, and run the whole show from heaven.
as a freshman in high school, working at a small-town radio
station in Western Alaska, and has been a self confessed
“Radio Geek” ever since. In 1987, he moved to Southern
California and quickly expanded into voice work for television, as well as narration and industrial/corporate presentations. Launched in 1999, Bruce’s audio production company, RightAfterThis.com, generates everything from internet
TV shows to live radio broadcasts to audio books, all from a
four studio complex in North Hollywood. Bruce is the voice
of TV’s Muscle Car, and is heard on national radio and TV
commercials.
Writer/Director
Ryan Paul James — Ryan who also co-authored Night
second production with the 68 Cent Crew Theatre Company. With the company, he recently played Henry
in Sam Shepard’s Eyes for Consuela.Other Shepard credits
include Austin in True West at the Maverick Theatre. He will
perform the role of Petrone in Suicide in B Flat, opening at
the Hayworth Theatre on October 20th. He’d like to thank
Ronnie Marmo for saving his life.
Stories, is so honored to be directing such a great play with a
cast that is so talented. If he is not here tonight, it’s because
he is in another play in North Hollywood called Chaim’s
Love Song at Group Rep. Theatre. Ryan started his career
in Florida appearing in numerous TV shows and movies. He
has been honored to work with John Travolta, Carol Burnett,
Ray Liotta, Joseph Fiennes, Gretchen Moll, and Thomas Jane
to name a few. Ryan would like to thank Ronnie Marmo for
this great opportunity, Danny Cistone for all his hard work
in getting the set done, Asher Lewis for all the publicity pics,
Aimee Rivers for co-directing, and, of course, a great cast
who has done a great job of making Night Stories a great
play. Last but not least, he wants to thank his family back
in Tampa, FL for all their support and love, and God for the
gifts that He keeps on giving.
Assistant
Director
Aimee Rivers — Aimee’s usual undertaking in the theater
is that of the soubrette or wordsmith. However, she is
delighted to take part in Night Stories as assistant to the kingpin. Past roles include Cordelia in King Lear, Marie in Alibi
Aboard, Edith in Die Mommie Die, Maria in Twelfth Night
and Fraulein Kost in Cabaret. Aimee has a degree in American Literature and Culture from UCLA and studies acting at
the Meta Theater in Hollywood. This is her first production
with the 68 Cent Crew Theatre Company.
Sound
Effects
Stephen Kline — Stephen is happy to be here for his Teenage
Girl
Shannon Farrara — Hello. I’m Shannon Farrara. I was
born in Florida. Pretty much raised in California. I’ve been
acting since I was 5 years old. I was on China Beach, guest
starred on Who’s the Boss and King of Queens. I was in an
Academy Award winning movie of the remake Piranha . . .
just joking. Anyway, I’m new to 68 Cent Crew Theatre Company, and so far it’s going very well. This is really my
first play, so I’m nervous, but it’ll be great.
The
Female Announcer
Mia Chiaromonte — Mia has been living and acting
in Los Angeles for the past three years, having appeared
in such films as Office (2005), and Loveless in Los Angeles
(2006). She began acting at age 10 in the South Coast
Repertory Young Conservatory in Costa Mesa, CA, and has
performed in numerous plays and worked at countless restaurants ever since. She holds a BA in Theatre from UC San
Diego, and is addicted to hot sauce.

Jingle Singers
Arianna D. Wheat — This is Arianna’s first production with the 68 Cent Crew. She is
pleased to be working with such wonderful people. She has pursued theater for the last six
years. Some of her notable acting experiences include Piece of My Heart, Forbidden Planet,
Hamlet, and most recently Die Mommy Die. She hopes you enjoy the show.
JENNIFER SILVA — Jennifer Silva is a new member of the 68 Cent Crew. She moved to California from Vermont eight years ago and lived in San Diego for four years. She then relocated to
Los Angeles and has been here for four years. Since living in LA she has performed in various
plays and musicals including Into the Woods (Sleeping Beauty) music and lyrics by Stephen
Sodheim, Cabaret (Kit Kat Girl) music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, Our Country’s
Good (Duckling/Lt Johnston) by Timberlake Wertenbaker, and Blood Wedding (Ensemble) by
Federico Garcia Lorca.
Who’s Who in the Cast
The Haunted Cell
DJ Rabiola — DJ started his career back in Peoria, on the stages of Vaudeville. He then
moved to Chicago where he worked in one of Capone’s speakeasies. His time in Chicago
and New York allowed him to rub elbows with the types of guys he would end up playing on
radio and film. He was brought to Hollywood after Jack Warner and Ryan Paul James saw him
near a Broadway stage and became a contract player for Warner Bros., who sometimes loans
him out to RKO and Theatre 68 for projects such as Night Stories. DJ is excited to be working
with Ryan James for a second time. DJ wishes to thank Leo Gorcey, Huntz Hall, Billy Halop,
Gabe Dell and the rest of the Dead End Kids. For more on DJ you can wire him at www.
djrabiola.com
Tommy Colavito — (9/8 thru 9/17) Tommy is a co-founding member of The 68 Cent
Crew Theater Company. This is his 12th production he is acting in with the Crew. Some of his
most recent credits include feature films, West of Brooklyn, directed by Danny Cistone, and
Limbo Lounge, directed by Tom Pankratz. Tommy recently wrote his own short film, set to
shoot in late October.
Jack Burns — (9/22 thru 10/08) Jack’s long career covers almost every facet of the entertainment industry... actor, writer, producer, and comedian. Early in his career he was a member with SECOND CITY, where he met his comedy partner, Avery Schreiber. They were one
of America’s most successful comedy teams, as well as the stars of their ABC-TV show, The
Burns and Schreiber Comedy Hour. Jack was also a regular on The Andy Griffith Show, where
he replaced Don Knotts as Deputy Sheriff Warren. He appeared as guest star on many TV
sitcoms and dramas, including Silk Stalkings and The Simpsons. Jack has also written and produced shows as The Muppet Show, The Muppet Movie, The Flip Wilson Specials, It’s the Gary
Shandling Show, Brothers, Hee-Haw, America’s Funniest People and The Dolly Parton Show to
name a few. He has hosted shows such as Good Morning L.A. and Saturday Night Live.
JERRY BRENNAN — Jerry has appeared on such TV shows as CSI NY, Crossing Jordan, District,
Providence, and Citizen Baines. He has worked on other plays here with the 68 Cent Crew Theatre Company: Bill W. & Dr. Bob (twice) and Knights of Mary Phagan.
Brian Jarvis — Brian is such a Muffin. He started out his career in Jazz Nock-Nock Dancing. Tippity-tapping and gong-ding-donging his grotesquely, small, hoof-like feet through out
Eastern Central Western Massachusetts. He also took up the ancient art of Fingering. This
time-honored “Puppetry of the hand” is recognized world wide as the “Puppetry of the hand.”
Brian can now be seen hanging around outside your bathroom window. Not in a weird way.
Just sort of kickin it.

W.A. STEELE — See House on Wonderland Ave.
The Diary
Sabrina Bolin — I’m a 5’2” half-Vietnamese Leo who
loves life with a passion because it’s too short to take for
granted. My passion for acting and hard work ethic have
paid off in roles in several independent films and, most recently, the exciting opportunity to work with the fine team of
artists in the 68 Cent Crew Theatre Company’s production
of Night Stories.
Rachael Sizgorich — Rachael has been acting since
the age of fourteen when she received a scholarship to The
Laguna Playhouse. It was there that she fell in love with
acting and has pursued it ever since. Following high school,
Rachael attended The American Academy of Dramatic
Arts, and after that UCLA. She has appeared in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Wild Duck, To Gillian on Her 37th
Birthday, Women Under the Influence, and Making Sense of
Crazy. Rachael also had a small part in the film Enigma with a
Stigma. In addition to the 68 Cent Crew Theatre Company,
Rachael is also an associate member at Theatre West.
Heather Halley — see The House on Wonderland Ave.
The House On Wonderland Ave.
Paul Rogan — Paul is delighted to be making his Los
Angeles theatre debut with Theatre 68. A recent transplant
from London, England, Paul’s theatre work there included
George in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, the Emcee in Cabaret, and Malvolio in Twelfth Night. He has performed widely
on stage and TV as a stand-up comedian, and as an improv
performer has made three appearances at the Montreal ‘Just
For Laughs’ Festival. He is a particular lover of radio drama
and comedy, and has appeared regularly on BBC Radio as
a voice actor. His film and TV work includes a variety of
British shows nobody has heard of in LA, plus Thunderpants
(with Paul Giamatti) and A Knight in Camelot (with Whoopi
Goldberg). He is looking forward to reviving his comedy
stage show How to be the Perfect Couple with his American
wife, who was the reason for his move to LA, along with the
higher quality dentistry.
Heather Halley — Thanks to Ronnie Marmo and Ryan
James, Night Stories is Heather’s first production with the
68 Cent Crew Theatre Company. Heather can be heard on
many national TV and radio commercials, along with several
of your favorite CD Rom/Interactive games, including Metal
Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater as Paramedic. Some of her theatre
credits include: The Holiday Show with The Actors’ Gang,
The Fantasticks, Hello Dolly, Cabaret, Steel Magnolias, and
Let’s Get a Divorce. She was a recurring character on HBO’s
Not Necessarily The News. She can be seen in the films, The
Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde with Laura Dern, and
AFI’s The Violin. Heather’s performances are dedicated to
her Ma, for always believing in her.
Rob Brackenridge — After receiving his BA in Theatre
from Lawrence University in Appleton, WI, Rob worked with
Wisconsin Shakespeare Festival, and the Illusion Theatre in
Minneapolis. Some of his notable roles have been: Andre in
Three Sisters, James Joyce in Travesties, Tiger Brown in ThreePenny Opera. Rob was a member of the improv group called
“Belly Laffs,” and has spent many years touring as a stand-up
comedian. He recently returned from entertaining our troops
in Afghanistan. His road stories can be seen on his website:
www.robbrackenridge.com.
WA Steele — Following a thirty year career in the powerline construction business, Bill decided to pursue his true
calling and spend the next thirty years working as a professional actor. Since arriving in Los Angeles in 2003, Bill has
received critical acclaim for his work onstage as the 1930’s
Irish Gangster Doyle Lonnegan in The Sting and as Will
Masters in William Inge’s Bus Stop. He recently completed a
13-week run as Dr. Bob Smith in Theater 68’s production of
Bill W. and Dr. Bob. He has also completed seven short films
and three features including GI Jesus and The Magus. “Believing that nothing is more powerful than the human spirit, it is critical that an actor be immersed in a safe and creative environment…..that is why I am a member of the 68 Cent Crew.”
