WELCOME
Dear Patrons
It is with the greatest pleasure that I welcome you to the first part of our 2015 season - a brighter
and better season than ever before - featuring, not only some our old favourites, but a variety of
newcomers including, for the first time in Blyth for 10 years, current, up to the minute cinema.
This breakaway will experience a trial run until April, so if you want cinema back in our town, then
please help us make it work by your support for it.
Since the last time I wrote in this publication, the board of directors has appointed a new theatre
manager - Richie Ross; an arts venue management apprentice - Kyle Crook and a press and
publicity officer - Garry Smith. Warmest welcome to them all and good luck to them in their roles.
Indeed, much of our recent, rapid progress is down to, in no small way, the good offices of Richie
and Kyle who have been with us since September.
The Phoenix Theatre is always looking for ways to expand and improve; with your continued
support and patronage, we have excellent opportunities ahead of us. Do please contact us if you
feel we are missing something.
Meanwhile, have a happy and prosperous new year.
David Garrett
- Executive Director
