Community Summer Reading In addition to assigned reading, SPSG students in Grades 9-11 are required to select at least one book from the Community Summer Reading list for her grade. This book should be one that has not been read previously. Any digital or print edition of the Community book is acceptable. The lists are posted on SPSG’s Learning Management System (LMS). Once logged into the LMS, locate the “Upper School Information” tab, select “Summer Activities” from the dropdown menu, and locate your 2015-2016 grade’s folder under resources. Within that folder you will find subfolders for Community Summer Reading, English, and Math. Upper School students will use the LMS over the summer to complete a short assignment related to their summer reading. Under the Summer Activities tab, go to the Upper School Community Summer Reading group and then to the correct grade level. From there, students can browse the assignments by clicking on the Resources button in the top banner. Pick one assignment to complete. To post the completed assignment, please select the Discussions button and go to the correct activity’s discussion board topic for your grade. Students should post their initial assignment by July 21st, and then reply to at least one other student’s assignment post by August 21st.
