Characteristics - Admiral






Family : Nymphalidae
Class: Insects, migrating butterfly
Habitat : open landscapes, woodlands, in late summer &
autumn in gardens
Food plants : Stinging nettles, Parietaria
Reproduction : Pairs contact each other with the abdomen
 fertilization (Metamorphosis)
Appearance : hairy, black-brown, 50 – 65 mm wingspan,
wings are orange-red, 2 cm long (body size),

In the next 100 years  2° – 4,5° increasing
temperature
Following problems:
 Ice melting  animals such as the Ice bear go extinct
 Saa level rises Islands or countries could sinkinto
the sea (e.g. the Netherlands)
