The 33rd Advanced Echo Conference is
offered in cooperation with the American
Society of Echocardiography.
At the time of printing, a complete list
of industry exhibitors was not available.
Appropriate acknowledgement will be given
to all exhibitors at the time of the program.
CONFERENCE CANCELLATIONS

a full refund of the registration fee will be
given, but program hosts are not responsible
for any travel or hotel costs you may incur.
OVERVIEW
CONFERENCE OVERVIEW
Join your colleagues for an interactive, casebased learning of the latest in echocardiography
today. This program will explore the role of real
time 3-D echo and other advanced imaging
modalities in cardiac diagnosis, in percutaneous
interventions for valve and other disorders, and
in intraoperative echocardiography. Clinical
applications of imaging techniques such as
speckle tracking strain imaging will be dealt
with pointing out both strengths and pitfalls.
Application of echocardiography in clinical
problems such as myocardial disorders, heart
failure management and other common and
rare diseases will be discussed with illustrative
patient examples. Participants will also receive a
comprehensive review of the current state-of-theart applications of echocardiography in valvular
heart disease.
OBJECTIVES
•Identify technical aspects of obtaining optimal 3D
echo images
•Understand the role of speckle tracking in clinical
disorders and its drawbacks
•Comprehend the application 3D Echo and 2D
Echo in evaluating and guiding surgery
•Understand the accurate approach to define valve
pathology and hemodynamics
•Understand the utility of 3D Echo and 2D Echo in
choosing and guiding percutaneous valve therapy
•Learn the value of various echo modalities in the
assessment of heart failure patients
•Distinguish various dilated and infiltrative
cardiomyopathies
•Understand the utility of echo imaging in
pericardial and aortic diseases
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This program is intended for cardiologists, cardiac
anesthesiologists, sonographers, intensivists
and cardiothoracic surgeons.
