The WHO’s 2014 World Cancer Report projects that in the
next 20 years, cancer cases will surge 75% from 2008
figures, to 25 million per year worldwide. With a staggering
economic cost of over $1 trillion, and a similarly debilitating
social cost, this cancer burden will strain rich countries and
damage poor ones.
WHO ATTENDS?
Bringing cross-sector stakeholders into dialogue on cancer,
Health Care in Asia 2015 will focus firmly and optimistically
on solutions for the countries in Asia-Pacific. We will look
at innovative approaches and solutions across policy and
financing, prevention, early detection, treatment and longterm management.

we steer our focus towards the most important
beneficiaries of improved outcomes: patients.
