JOB OPENING AT HOPE CHEST FOR BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION FOUNDATION COORDINATOR We invite you to join our Hope Chest for Breast Cancer team as the Foundation Coordinator. The Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation is a resource for local, breast cancer patients and their families at a time when they most need hope. Our purpose is to provide the quickest access to help with the most urgent emergency needs of local breast cancer patients and their families. Our programs help keep the families in their home, keep that home warm with the lights on, keep the children in their same schools, keep healthy food on the table for both the patient and the children and help the patient get to treatment through transportation assistance and childcare. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES The Foundation Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of all Foundation activities for The Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation including marketing, events and office management. This position reports directly to the Executive Director. Our Foundation Coordinator position is “never a dull moment” job, offering a growth-oriented professional a wide variety of job responsibilities. Responsibilities of the job include: Event coordination to include committee management, volunteers, marketing collateral, media and logistical details Website management and social media coordination Supervision and cultivation of volunteers Maintaining contact database Coordination of marketing and development plans Developing and managing relationships with businesses, individuals and organizations interested in supporting the Foundation through third party events and activities. Day-to-Day management of the Foundation office Coordinating other projects as assigned by the Executive Director THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL DEMONSTRATE: Excellent written skills to produce creative yet informative copy. Adept in proofreading, editing and communicating brand consistency. Database/Website skills: Experience with various website management programs, contact management systems and social media. Ability to positively interact with a wide variety of people, provide direction to and receive direction from team members, volunteers, committee chairs, and Board members. Proficiency in Word, Excel, calendar management and good organizational skills Personal skills: You will excel in this position if you thrive on multi-tasking; demonstrate results for your efforts; proactively solve problems; double check the important details; and are committed to the great work the Hope Chest provides to those undergoing breast cancer treatment.
