Over 3,000 legal professionals to get on their bikes for Breast Cancer Care’s Tour de Law 2014 On Tuesday 28th and Wednesday 29th October, more than 3,000 lawyers will take part in the largest ever Tour de Law event for Breast Cancer Care, to mark Breast Cancer Care Awareness month. A phenomenal 20 leading Law firms have signed up for this year’s event, including Addleshaw Goddard, Allen & Overy, Ashurst, Baker & McKenzie, Bates Wells Braithwaite, Charles Russell, Devonshires, Eversheds, Farrer & Co, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Herbert Smith Freehills, Ince & Co, Latham & Watkins, Norton Rose Fulbright, Plexus Law, Proskauer Rose, Sidley Austin, Stevens & Bolton, Weil Gotshal & Manges and Wright Hassall. An average of more than 150 lawyers from each of the above firms will take part in the static cycle race over the equivalent distance of from London to Paris and back in 15 minute relay slots over the two days. Cycling Olympian Victoria Pendleton has kindly donated a signed Breast Cancer Care cycling jersey for this year’s Tour de Law auction. Track cycling world champion and Olympic gold medallist in the team purist, Geraint Thomas, has also kindly donated signed kit for the Tour de Law auction too. The event this year is kindly sponsored by the UK’s leading mint brand Smint, as part of their wider commitment to the charity.
