Easton, MD is also a sponsor for the annual Relay for Life event. In addition, it has been a sponsor for
the past two years for the American Cancer Society’s Color of Cancer event. The Talbot Bank was also
an active supporter of “Daffodil Days” until it ceased in 2010. The Talbot Bank of Easton, MD is
committed to the community we serve and encourages its employees to participate. Cancer affects
everyone, and we all do it for a different reason. But in the end we all hope that one day our dollar will
be the one to help find a cure!
Cancer touches all of us in some way. Did you know that statistics indicate one in three Americans will
get cancer in their lifetime? The good news is that slightly more than half of today’s cancer patients
survive! The survival rate can continue to be increased through more research and greater community
awareness of health issues.
The American Cancer Society is assisting people in their cancer journey 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Support and donations are used in funding additional research efforts, educational, advocacy and
patient services. With your support as our partner, we will be able to meet the increased needs during
these challenging economic times. The American Cancer Society is available all-day, every day. Contact
us on the web at www.cancer.org or call toll free at 1-800-ACS-2345.
