Executive Director-Cancer Services The Synergy Organization has been retained by dynamic, not-for-profit Health System in Cumberland, MD to conduct the nationwide search for their Executive Director-Cancer Services. The Health System is made up of a state-of-the-art 275-bed acute care hospital, physician practices, outpatient services, urgent care centers, primary care centers, home care services, and a skilled nursing facility. This System is the region’s largest employer with over 2,300 employees, 250 physicians and 90 advanced practice professionals on staff, offers the only Open Heart Surgery program west of Baltimore and is one of nine Trauma Centers in Maryland. The Cancer Center is accredited by the ACS and provides advanced clinical trials and technology including a Linear Accelerator, PET/CT, 3T MRI Tesla and HDR Brachytherapy. The Cancer Center is staffed by experienced, Board-Certified physicians and a dedicated interdisciplinary team of caregivers who provide services including Surgery, Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Diagnostic Imaging and Rehabilitation. As a key member of the leadership team, the new Executive Director will have a real opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients and their families while working in a high-touch, patient and familycentered environment. This new leader will work closely with the Medical and Radiation Oncology Service Line Medical Directors, provide oversight, direction, planning and marketing for the Oncology Service Line, and will support and supervise the staff of the Cancer Center. The Executive Director also will lead Outpatient Infusion Services, Psychosocial Services, Cancer Screening Programs, the Cancer Committee, Tumor Registry, Clinical Trial Research Program, and other Cancer Center facilities. The successful candidate will bring a passion for quality care, exceptional leadership and teambuilding skills and have a broad and intensive knowledge of healthcare and allied health. Demonstrated and successful experience with meeting the clinical needs of cancer patients and their families is required, as well as a Masters Degree in Business Administration or a related field and at least 3 years of administrative leadership experience in oncology services.
