Inaugural Jefferson Inflammatory Breast Cancer Community Conference Friday, June 12, 2015 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dorrance H. Hamilton Building 1001 Locust Street, Conference Room 505 Philadelphia, PA 19107 We invite you to join us at the Inaugural Jefferson Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) Community Conference to hear the latest in research advances, clinical care and education for the treatment of IBC. IBC is a rare form of breast cancer that accounts for one to five percent of all breast cancers diagnosed in the United States. IBC is diagnosed and treated differently than other breast cancers. Early diagnosis improves the chances for successful treatment. Among the nationally renowned cancer experts at Jefferson is a talented team of scientists and clinicians that has assembled to further advance the research and treatment of IBC. Conference Goal This conference provides a unique opportunity for the IBC community, including women affected with IBC and their loved ones, community leaders and breast cancer advocacy groups, to come together to learn about the latest developments in clinical breast care and the latest translational research underway to detect and treat IBC. We hope that attendees will gain a greater awareness of IBC to help women in their communities obtain timely diagnosis and treatment.
