I can mend your pots and kettles if you only bring them ‘round!" As an itinerant tinsmith, or tinker, I present the basics of the trade as well as the history of the prerotary machine tinsmithing era. Using stakes and swedges, I can craft tinware or repair items as needed. Much of my work at encampments is real repairs for other reenactors. True to the tinker in me, every presentation is punctuated with some story telling, mischief making, and singing. Thirty years of teaching experience and a great fondness to share a living history with others makes the presentations entertaining and informative. Presentations are subject to my schedule as I do continue to teach multi-subjects in a seventh grade classroom at this time. Modest fees are negotiable. Thursday, August 28, 2008 Page 3 of 3
