management.WewillbetestingoursoilsamplesfromAcaciaforpH,nitrogen,
phosphorus,andpotassiumusingsoiltestkits.
SoilPreparation
1. Spreadoutthecompositesampleonacleansheetofpaperorplastic.
2. Allowthesoiltodryseveralhoursorovernight.
3. Removeforeignmattersuchasleaves,twigs,andstones.
4. Gentlycrushsoiltoremovelumps.
5. Siftthesamplethroughascreenorfloursiftertogiveauniformsample.
pH-ThepHscaleisanumericalsystemusedtomeasuretheacidityofalkalinityofasoil.
Plantswillnotthriveisthesoiliseithertooacidortooalkaline,becausethesoilpH
